Very Convenient location to China town and the Tram.
They did a great job cleaning the room every day, was great to come back to. Pillows were a little thick for me, but everything was comfortable and convenient location.

What was the highlight of Woodroffe Hotel
Comfy, comfy , comfy . I would stay there again without a worry.
Location was close to everything without the hustle and bustle of major city traffic. Room was comfy with everything we needed on hand. Shopping facilities with places to dine were within 450m of the motel.
There was only one thing that bothered me and it was really no fault of the Motel. I picked a room facing the city which just happened to face a community basket ball area included in the park. Being on a short holiday I was hoping to sleep in but am naturally an early riser. Just after sun up I was woken by the noise of people playing basketball ball and the thump of the ball hitting the back board ( no nothing but net here ). As I said I am a very light sleeper so I was probably half awake anyway. In the scheme of things I only mention this for future reference if someone books in who says they are a light sleeper.

Great Hotel, good service.
Breakfast was exceptional as were the Staff, especially in the cafe
Bed was a little uncomfortable, the sheeting didn't cover the end of the mattress. Quite a few homeless type people lingering out the front of the building.

What was the highlight of Woodroffe Hotel
Good Value for a very comfortable stay.
They were able to offer early check in which was great. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient. The room was a little small but comfortable enough and we had a nice view out towards the ocean. Bathroom is small and there was no exhaust fan so you are asked to keep the door closed whilst you shower but that was OK. The room was very clean but the property had a faint bleach smell to it. Again, that was OK. Pretty good location with plenty of food places nearby and the Southport South tram stop is just around the corner.
Small thing but if you want to park you have to pay $20 per day for undercover. Not a big deal though as the metred parking on the street is a maximum of $7.90 for the day. It's quite a busy area with the hospital closed by and lots of office buildings.
